Scuba Diving
where it all began
I started diving in 1995 in Australia, on the great barrier reef and turned pro in 1997. I worked for a summer season in Byron Bay, Australia, and liked it enough to go back for more the following season.
Back then I was only a warm water diver, but now go hot and cold including places like the UK, Ireland, Spain, Malta, Egypt, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, South Africa, Thailand, and more.
then what?
After a while disagreeing with corporate life, I went back into diving full time in 2002. If you really wanna know about what certifications and experience I have, yadda, yadda, yadda, you can read all about it here.
now what?
I live in Koh Tao, Thailand, now and although diving is my job, it's not my life. So ask me about diving outside work and I'll get as bored talking about diving as a double glazed window salesman would get if you asked him about the latest uPVC offering from Harlequin.
That being said, it is a cool job. I wouldn't wanna do it otherwise. I'm spending a fair bit of time developing products and training programmes for our dive centre and the S.E. Asian market. I teach all levels of courses from beginners to assistant instructors, and occasionally instructors' courses.
